New Android Update Makes Devices Less Bothersome With More Cool & Customizable Options
The new Android update dubbed, the Android O, will feature neat features and will ensure that devices will become less bothersome. Google's latest version of their mobile operating system is still under development.
Google is releasing builds for developers so that they can get familiar with the upcoming new Android update before it hits the public. The latest Android O is a working version name, and it will likely take on a name of a treat as usual, Oreo comes to mind.
According to TheVerge, the new Android update brings a wealth of new features, primarily in the notifications department. The latest version lets users customize what notifications they will receive, so that they will no longer be bothered with news that they don't want to be notified about.
If users only want to see tech news or sports news, the latest version will only show those categories. This filtering customization will not only be applicable to Google's apps, it can also be applied to other news apps as well.
No longer will users be bothered by news or notifications that they deem irrelevant. In our previous report, we mentioned that the new Android update will also add a cool picture-in-picture mode.
However, that's not all the improvements that Google will be implementing in the upcoming version. According to Cnet, the new Android update will focus on improving the battery life of devices.
Android O will limit background processes such as the battery-draining location update feature. This will significantly extend the battery of devices running the latest Android update software.
Just like in the previous builds, users can also expect numerous interface tweaks and general stability improvements in the next OS version. The previous Android Nougat builds, both the beta and final versions, always included new security fixes after each incremental update.
Users can expect that the upcoming Android O is no exception to this, as Google hopes to patch up the remaining security breaches within their system. With the recent updates steadily patching up vulnerable security holes, expect the new Android update to keep security threats to a minimum, if not completely removing them all.
