American Copper Buildings, SHoP Architects Completes The New York Project
The American Copper Buildings in New York City's Midtown neighborhood brings a sharp attention-to-detail and commitment to creating a sense of relaxed luxury on New York's East River edge. The buildings have been designed inside and out, and completed by SHoP Architects.
The American Copper Buildings were decided on after several design plans in a longstanding collaboration with JDS Development Group, according to Design Boom. SHoP Architects created an 825,000 square foot winner, dual copper-clad residential towers that feature the first major sky bridge in New York in 80 years.
The design of the American Copper Buildings includes an indoor 75-foot lap pool, lounge and bar, catering kitchen, playroom, juice bar, as well as an open studio. The three-story sky bridge took a span of attention and careful collaboration with JDS Development Group to put the intricate abstraction of the design into a concrete work
Additionally, there are two palatial lobbies comprising of 25-foot high ceilings leading to a garden park and fountain designed by SCAPE Landscape Architecture, as well as a porte cochère that facilitates an on-site valet parking service. As residents step into the American Copper Buildings, they would be given the privilege of using rooftop infinity pool, Turkish-style hammam, and a fitness center with climbing wall.
Meanwhile, SHoP Architects outfitted interiors of the individual living spaces by using custom shades for floor-to-ceiling windows, custom-designed oak floors, and private terraces in select residences of the American Copper Buildings. This is accessorized with subtle lighting, and full-fitted kitchens.
There are over 300 matchless residential layouts in each tower, according to Interior Design. Especially with the views of the Empire State Building, the Manhattan Skyline, and its neighboring East River, the American Copper Buildings is definitely a design worth noticing. As of now, it's safe to say that the American Copper Buildings are one of the most exciting architecture and interior projects in the zeitgeist.
