This year, the world's architects have taken their design skills to new heights, and guests of Aqua will witness some of the most fantastic concepts of architecture related to water. Here, we are to observe ten projects that would point to the perspectives of future pools and ponds in the context of modern design.
The Infinity Pool at SkyPark, Singapore
The Sky Park in Singapore with an infinity pool with the sky in the background, sitting on the 57th floor, this pool gives the illusion of floating in mid-air as well as a bird's eye view of the city. There are glass walls, and the interior is laconic and practically devoid of decoration - the idea is the boundless expanses and opulence.
The Reflective Pond at the Zen Retreat, Japan
A destination that the Zen Retreat prides itself on is an internal, uniquely placed, peaceful pond that can soothe one's spirit. The pond, full of green foliage and Japanese-style houses, is a reflecting pool, thus evoking the natural environment and adding a meditative aspect to it.
Free Rhapsody of Folding Villa in Shaoxing, China
LYCS Architecture designed this villa; the terrace contains an infinity-edge pool. An imitation of two or three exquisite egrets by the water is reflected in the pool's shape; the villas' linear shapes also flood the interiors with light, induce a feeling of continuity between the villa indoors and outdoors, and bring a natural serenity.
Liminal House in West Vancouver, Canada
Mcleod Bovell Modern Houses designed the Liminal House, which features a sleek, modern pool that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. The landscape architect, Botanica Design, enhanced the natural feel of the pool area, creating a serene outdoor living space.
The Eco-Pool at Green Haven, Denmark
A new green residential complex in Denmark called Green Haven has developed an eco-pool characterized by natural purification. The pool is a natural one built to assimilate the furniture of the surrounding environment. It uses water plants and bio-filters to ensure that the water in the pool is clean, thus a natural design instead of a normal swimming pool.

The Floating Pool at River Park, Germany
River Park in Hamburg presents a unique floating pool situated on the Elbe River. This innovative design includes a floating platform that houses the pool, allowing residents to swim in the river while maintaining safety and hygiene. YANLORD's Annual Courtyard Villa Masterpiece - TANG SONG in Wuxi, China
LWM Architects and Shanghai Yue Jie collaborated to design the TANG SONG villa in Wuxi. The courtyard features a serene pond that enhances the villa's traditional aesthetic.
