"It is the Academy Awards of the interior design industry," stated Interior Design on their annual Hall of Fame end of the year event. This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the black-tie celebration, which is hosted by Interior Design Media Group president Mark Strauss and Interior Design Editor in Chief, Cindy Allen.
The magazine has released the names of this year's inductees that will be recognized on Dec. 3. The 2014 list includes architect, designer and instructor Hagy Belzberg, sustainable designers and architects David Lake and Ted Flato, along with architect, designer, art director, interior designer, critic, teacher and exhibition organizer Paola Navone, and lastly, collaborator and incubator Andrea Woodner.
These recognized individuals have held pivotal positions that have impressively contributed to design.
Allen stated, "I'm tremendously excited to show off this year's stellar lineup that enhance the lives of their clients, our community, our country, our design world."
The Hall of Fame was established in 1985 by Interior Design and the magazine has remained passionate about acknowledging the leaders of architecture, interior design, furniture design and product design industries.
On Dec. 3, The Waldorf Astoria New York will host the guests of the event beginning with a cocktail reception, a special VIP reception, formal dinner, documentary viewing awards ceremony and a celebratory after-party.
